Imafuji Translations, LLC (“Imafuji,” “we,” or “us”) operates imafujitranslations.com. This notice explains how we handle information sent through our website and in connection with translation work. Questions can be sent to info@imafujitranslations.com.
Information you provide
When you request a quote, the form asks for your name, email address, translation direction, and a description of the material and its intended audience. You may also provide an approximate length, preferred delivery date, and notes about terminology, tone, or formatting. If you decide to work with us, you may later send source text and related instructions.
Please do not paste confidential or sensitive source text into the quote form. For source material, remove or anonymize personal or sensitive details that you do not want processed with AI before sending it. If your material cannot be processed with AI, do not send it for translation through this service.
How we use information
We use inquiry details to respond to your request, understand the scope of a project, prepare a quote, and communicate with you. If you commission work, we use the material you provide to translate, proofread, or edit it and to deliver the agreed work.
Google Forms and OpenAI Codex
Our quote form is provided by Google Forms. Information you submit there is handled through that service and made available to us as the form owner.
Imafuji uses OpenAI Codex for translation, proofreading, and editing. Source text, instructions, and related material entered into Codex are sent to OpenAI for processing. Masahiro Imafuji reviews the resulting work and is responsible for the translation delivered to you. We do not offer an AI-free translation workflow through this website.
We may also use our website host and email providers to operate the site and communicate with you. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive browser connection information when you visit. These providers may process information needed to provide their services.
Retention and deletion requests
We keep quote inquiries and project files in the records we control for one month after an inquiry is closed or a project is completed, then delete them. We may retain separate business records, such as invoices, when required by law. Deleting our copies does not necessarily delete information retained independently by Google, OpenAI, or other service providers under their own policies.
